I just checked twitter. Astrid dresses are in at Mayle. I guess I'll be heading over tomorrow even though I want to save the money for the sample sale. Such a dilemma!

I can't even make it to the store or sample sale yet all this suspense is killing me!

Ugggghhh!!! Despite my better judgment, I will stop by Mayle today and check out the new pieces. BUT, I will ONLY buy if I am madly in love with it. I really am not comfortable paying full price for a dress with the knowledge that a "final blow-out sample sale" is a mere few days away. I wish I never read the tweet. The upside is that I may bump into one you ladies today.
I so wish I could break away earlier today, but I have work stuff all day today. Would one you ladies mind asking what time they're closing up today? Is their phone line still working?
If they're open till 7 per usual, I'll be there with bells on! Hopefully I might see you all!

Just a feeling BUT- I think astrids will be about $495 (dont quote me) no way jane is going to charge 795 for it. Also a dresslike this that sold out isnt making it to a sample sale- its going to go as fast as sylvestre and michela depending n pattern. same with reiko. i wish teh photos were up. I would love teh momo (jacet from spring 05 in the leopard leather with zipper sleeve) or a 3rd reiko (if its a good pattern). oh yeah if you have michaela be careful, one of the hanging straps on mine fell OFF last night!!
Marti, how awful! I hope your re-editions don't have other mishaps!
I agree with Cindy. This is putting me off the re-editions... I want an Astrid but I want it to be well made, like the original. But I guess I'll go in later today.
Seconding Cindy's comment--does anybody know how late they are open tonight?
LivKate, like you I am not comfortable spending on one dress when that same money might get me two or even three dresses a couple of days later, especially after just paying all that in taxes.

the stress is unbearable. i pray it's not on monday or tuesday (though i really doubt it will be-- that seems too soon for them to get organized). i wonder how early people will show up?? if we meet up, i can bring doughnuts!
Doughnuts sound good. I bet the sale is Thursday-Friday, based on past precedent. I think the earlier the better...
i heard the sale is Friday/Sat.
Thank goodness I checked Twitter, i was about to head out the door to go to Mayle. I would have been so annoyed to show up and find out that store would not open for another hour and a half. I will ask for the exact date of the sample sale and what time they are closing today. Again, I am back to being super unproductive.

You summed up my sentiment exactly, I am really not up for the temptation of re-editions when the sample sale is days away. I much rather spend the money on a few items from past seasons. But I know Reiko and Astrid will be tempting....
