Like Jennifer's, my clogs are a little more stiff than the pair I tried on in the No. 6 store. But I know they'll give, and the variation in size has a lot to do with the organic leathers and the different response from each dye (last tip from Alyssa who knows how to make shoes). They are pretty, reasonably comfortable (this will improve no doubt as I break them in) and I'm happy to have them. Here's a picture:

They are really pretty! I think the red will go with just about anything.
So great! The red is really charming.
such a pretty color! do they run narrow?
Thanks Jennifer, Joyce and Erica.
They do run a little narrow, Erica (and I sized up). One of the things I love about the No. 6 store is you can customize soles and uppers for no extra cost (had I ordered a pair from them, I'd have gone for a size 41 upper on a size 40 sole for the extra width). I think these are made of a leather that's somewhat more rigid than the one I tried on in the shop but they did mention that it will give quite a lot.
I wish I could give in and get those clogs...
