I just called VanJean. They are really busy and cannot call me back today but this is what I found. Holiday on sale for 50%, resort is full price. I got the impression they didn't have any fall left, although if anybody else calls, correct me if I am wrong.
I don't know if this is as cheap as we'll get--I suspect better deals are out there, but I will pass on any information as I get it.

I'm surprised they are so busy on a Monday afternoon. I'll try to call them tomorrow morning when they open if I get a chance. They aren't good with email. Hmm...I wonder if holiday will be marked to 60% at Nolita and if Elise or Christina would divulge such info. I'm on diavolina's meebo chat right now trying to find out what they have on sale. They must be busy because they are slow in responding or annoyed.
Hi Moya - I found you through Erica's blog. Have you heard of the Penilope dress marked down anywhere else? I think we may be about the same size and I'm wondering if you have tried on the Thea? I'm trying to guess what size I would need! I'm coming into the city for a few hours on Thursday and am trying to pick out the best places to visit (shop). Thanks!

Bird on 5th Ave (Brooklyn) have Penilope for (I think) $169. I got mine from Barneys but I think that was the last one. I would still check out the co-op floor at Madison Ave in case they have any resort left.
I tried on the Thea. I've got broad shoulders and the size 8 is really too small. It fits well elsewhere but I fear the fabric would tear or be under stress under the arms. I definitely needed a 10, but I think the only place that might have thst is the Mayle store.
Have fun on Thursday--I would check out Mayle, Barneys and Bird. Jumelle only has small sizes. You may want to call Zoe in DUMBO to see what stock they have left (some of the stock on their website is from their Princeton store).

i second moya's thoughts on the thea. also, i was disappointed in the sleeve length, but that's probably because i had such high expectations thanks to the lookbook version.
i am holding out for the mirabelle in black, unless it's already sold out. does anyone know?
you know what i realized about thea? the sleeves are only shorter because they are cuffed and held up by one stitch on each side. you could very easily just snip the stitches and wear the sleeves long as in the lookbook.
I'm pretty frustrated with VanJean. I called yesterday, they said they'd call back. They didn't. I called again (three times now) and they said to call after the sale was over. I politely explained I wanted sale items and they said they'd call this afternoon. I somehow doubt I'll hear anything from them. They are busy, yes, but this is pretty rude--especially when I have my credit card in my hand!
Resort is not on sale at VanJean--that's all I could get out of them.
