Mayle Clogs

I wish I'd got the black star clogs in size 10 last Friday. Does anybody know if they had any left? I thought Jane had a bag full the other day and I am kicking myself now for not seeing if there were any in my size. Does anybody know how I could contact Mayle--or what is left of it? I'm going to email mayleonline.com but I know it is unlikely that anybody will see it for a while.

Why do these desires suddenly come upon us? Is it because this closing took so long or because we can't let go?

Sorry this is an unorthodox post.

moya- i will keep on high alert about clogs of any sort from mayle...it is just the way we (mayle devotees) are built we pass on things initially but as we sleep and move about our day certain images grab and cling to us...it has happened to me too many times

we will do our best to track them down

Everytime I hear there is more stuff I get anxious and try to figure out how to get it. I keep thinking ok this is the last piece(s) and I am just going to get it because then it is done, but it keeps going! Now i am thinking hmmm clogs with stars ... My husband thinks I have gone crazy. Metier update, they are now out of mirabelle, have 3 melias and one zoia. Moya I wish you good fortune in hunting down the clogs! They sound lovely.

Moya,

Try shooting elise an email. I will send it to you offline.

Uma,

Do you know how much the dresses are?

Melia is $337. Not sure on zoia, I think 200+

Any idea if there were more of the Marius leopardo jackets left? I loved that jacket. Wonder where the leftover stock will go...

They do have the Marius jackets. I wonder if they'll sell stock to the likes of us. It's just an issue of who to contact and where when nobody works for Mayle any more!

I hope we're all able to stalk these items down. There is a chance Metier may be getting them I've heard, so I guess that's one possibility, although the prices will obviously be higher there.

i was hoping to score an ilaria dress, esp. after seeing all the lovely images on flickr. is there hope?

voicemail box on the mayle info line was completely full yesterday afternoon.

moya, your post about the closing was lovely. you are such a good writer.

Thank you, Joyce. They do have Ilarias left--mainly in pansy lace. There aren't many, but they do have a few. And there are two of the white/yellow esperanzas in cotton, size 4 and 6 (runs small whereas pansy lace runs large).

Oh man, just knowing they still have some great stuff is killing me! If anyone figures out a way to get in touch with them, I'd love to know. I can post my email address if you would prefer not to leave the info in the comments section... This blog is truly wonderful!

Hi Elena,

I believe that they only had size 8 left in Marius leopardo. I got the smallest size there - a 6. I wanted the 4 but that was sold out. However, the 6 works fine, a little loose but comfortable. If you are a 6 or 8 it should work out.

Hi Moya,

I know they had about 6 pairs of shoes left but I did not check out the sizes or styles.

I saw the bag too--I didn't want to pry and wasn't really thinking about shoes at that time. I very nearly looked into them. I am not sure if they had any in my size--probably not, but I'd rather know for sure. Thanks Monica.

Thanks LivKate. I'm usually a 4, so the 8 may be too big...alas.

The largest Ilaria pansy lace was a 4, as I recall...but they run a bit big, right, Moya?

Hi girls,
Moya, I thought cotton ilaria also run large too - or at least true to size.
I am usually 2-4 Mayle, and when I tried cotton ilaria 4 I could swim in it. so I got the size 2 and looked much better.
But maybe some of them are cut differently.
and I hope you can get the black star clogs - I wasn't sure about them when I purchased but now I am happy with them. They are subtle but adds that extra to the whole outfit.

Hi guys- who has photos up of the black star clogs? anyone else buy the same floral me? Jane has a few pairs of clogs left (from our last correspondance) but they were size 36 and 39. I know she did soem pre-orders for another style? Babar maybe?

LivKate- I almost bought the leopard Marius over the phone from Jane teh other day in the 6..... i regret it now and am thinking i should snag the 8. did she sell it to you for $195? I am also still possibly regretting not buying the lotus print micheala for $275.

Just an FYI - I am normally a 4/6/8 in Mayle and I got the pansy ilaria in a 2. I got the esperanza print one in a 4. the slip on the 2 is hideously small for me however.

If anyone hears of size 38/8 clogs let me know. I snagged the leopard and teh floral but dying for the faux python.

I hope everyone gets their hands on the clogs!

What is everyone's opinion on the pansy net lace material? Is it really delicate? I keep thinking about the Ilaria dress but afraid I will easily ruin it.

Also, does anyone know if the baby billies are being produced in simple solid colors and what the prices will be? Not sure if I should try to get my name on the waiting list.

Does anyone know if they have any nia skorts left? And if so how to get them. The only store I could find still selling them is van jean at full price

Christina, I have the pansy lace ilaria. The dress is great not super delicate (but it IS lace so not indesctructable). I just wore my pansy lace ilaria for the first time today and other than the accompanying slip which doesn't fit me well I love it. Its an easy comfortable dress. I wore it with leggings and some chloe 3 strap mary janes and my black leather marius jacket. it was PERFECTION.

Moya said...

I agree with Marti--the pansy lace Ilaria is not that delicate.

The cotton Ilaria was tiny on me--the armholes were cut really high and Elise commented it just looked like a shirt, yet the pansy lace fit fine. Of course, it is possible that the ones left over were not labeled with the right tags. I think I'd need a 10 in this one and a 6 in pansy lace was great. I don't remember which sizes were left in pansy lace but they did have a few of these on Thursday. The cotton was only in 4 and 6.

No Nia skorts left, Uma. They sold out of the originals on Friday and the re-editions went the next day.

Christina, the only solid color baby billie was in gold. They had the black toro, the black brocade, and the tan leather one with the southwestern trim. You should contact Mayle on twitter to see if they are getting any more in and put your name down on the list. None of the bags made it to the sale.

I hope there are more clogs, Marti! I'd love a pair of 40-41 and am kicking myself for not getting them on Friday at the sale. I had them but I think the chaos was so great that I passed, which I so regret now.

grrr. so frustrating to know there are beautiful things still floating around and yet no clear path to obtaining them.

hopefully someone will come up with a lead soon!
